Hair loss linked to DHT, also known as androgenetic alopecia or pattern hair loss, usually develops gradually and often runs in families. During your consultation, your practitioner will examine your scalp and hair and ask about your medical history and when the hair loss began. A blood test may be suggested to rule out other causes before treatment is recommended.
Wash your hair on the day of treatment and avoid styling products. Tell us about all medicines and supplements you take, including any hair loss treatments. DHT blocker injections are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are planning a pregnancy, so please let us know before booking.
